How to Install Phantom wallet for Solana - Adding Solana Network to "Meta Mask"

Can you add Solana to Metamask?

The short answer is "No" as Solana is not an Ethereum Virtual Machine ( EVM ) compatible chain.

However, you can still use this guide to download Phantom, a different kind of wallet made for Solana.

Step 1. Installing and Setting up Phantom

If you have not installed Phantom, you can download it on Chrome.

Head over to the Phantom download page and select your preferred option to download.

Step 2. Setting up your wallet

Once you have installed the extension, go ahead and set up your account and make sure to keep your recovery phrase somewhere safe as you will need it to restore your wallet if you lost your device.

You can now fund your phantom wallet with Solana from your favorite exchanges using the Solana Network by using your Phantom Wallet Address.
